3.7V Lithium Capacitor Battery Structure Overview

The 3.7V lithium capacitor battery (13350 series) is developed by engineers with a hybrid cylindrical architecture, which incorporates lithium-ion electrode chemistry and capacitor-like internal regulation behavior. To begin with, they position cathode and anode foils with a high-precision separator layer, and they coil the layered structure into a small spiral core. Meanwhile, technicians put the rolled element into a rigid cylindrical metal casing, and they stabilize internal alignment and then electrolyte injection starts. Then they seal the core structure to ensure even distribution of pressure in the later sealing processes.

Material Composition and Electrochemical System

The cathode layer is made by applying lithium metal oxide compounds on aluminum foil by manufacturers, and the anode layer is made by applying graphite based slurry on copper foil. Besides this, they present a microporous PP/PE separator that allows ion movement but does not allow direct contact with electrodes. Moreover, they make a lithium salt electrolyte (usually LiPF6 in organic carbonate solvents), and they carefully regulate the level of moisture to ensure chemical stability.
