Capacitor-Shaped LiPo Battery Structural Configuration

The capacitor-shaped LiPo battery (16400, 3.7 V specification) is designed by engineers in a compact cylindrical form, which incorporates layered electrochemical films into a tightly packed roll core. They start by stacking cathode-coated aluminum foil, anode-coated copper foil, and polymer separator sheets into a continuous laminated strip. Then they roll the multilayer structure into a controlled spiral shape and actively control tension and alignment to prevent edge displacement. Once the core has been formed, the technicians insert it into a rigid cylindrical metal housing and undertake dimensional stabilization before introducing the electrolyte.

Electrochemical Materials and Layer Engineering

Aging processes are then performed in controlled temperature conditions to monitor voltage drift and impedance change. Lastly, quality control teams perform dimensional checks, insulation resistance checks, and structural sealing checks. During the manufacturing process, IEC 62133 and UN38.3 standards are adhered to, and the standardization of structural control, electrical consistency, and validation of transport safety of capacitor-shaped LiPo battery manufacturing are ensured.
