Overview
The Swappable Battery System is a system of several lithium cells that are positioned within a single electrical casing. Technicians connect each group of cells via a set of conductive paths. To control measurement signals and switching actions, a control board is installed. Meanwhile, data lines transmit voltage readings to external interfaces in order to track them. In case of irregular values, the control circuit cuts the energy flow off.
Cell Materials and Layer Structure
Cell units are based on lithium compounds in layers on metal foils. The positive current path is made of aluminum sheets, and the electron collection on the other side is directed by copper sheets. Between electrode layers, a thin separator film is placed, which avoids direct contact. Also, the enclosure has a rigid polymer shell with metal reinforcement plates to ensure structural alignment during handling.
Assembly Process and Electrical Linking
Operators group cells into predetermined string groups based on voltage targets. The nickel connectors are used to connect terminals by spot welding, which minimizes the resistance at every junction. Once the cells have been grouped, a monitoring board is attached to the terminal part. This board reads every cell line and implements cut-off measures in case of abnormal readings. Balance wires run over the pack and balance the distribution of charge during operation cycles.
Thermal Path and Structural Layout
Heat is conducted via spacing channels that are created between cell rows. Temperature is spread throughout the internal structure by conductive pads. The design does not require rotating or moving cooling components and uses physical separation to dissipate heat. The shell is the outer layer that keeps the internal parts in place and does not allow external forces to compress it. Service openings enable the inspection of connectors without removing the entire assembly.
Certification and Production Control
The production is based on IEC 62133 and UN38.3 transport standards for lithium-based assemblies. Every unit is insulated, load-cycled, and voltage-tracked. Each batch is given a traceability code in production records. Terminals are isolated prior to shipment release through packaging inspection.
