LiPo Battery 3.7V Rechargeable Structure
The rechargeable LiPo battery 3.7V is built by manufacturers on a laminated pouch architecture, which integrates stacked electrodes and flexible sealing materials. The engineers first stack cathode and anode foils into a controlled stack configuration, and place a microporous separator between each layer to ensure ionic isolation. In the meantime, they place current collector tabs accurately to provide stable electrical routing. Then, they place the assembled core into an aluminum-plastic composite pouch, and internal alignment is adjusted, followed by the onset of preparation.
Composition of Material and Electrode
Manufacturers use lithium metal oxide alloys on aluminum foil to create the cathode and to apply the graphite-based slurry on copper foil to create the anode structure. They also add conductive additives and polymer binders to the slurry to ensure that they are uniformly dispersed during coating. They then dry the coated electrodes under controlled thermal conditions to eliminate solvents and then they carry out calendering to stabilize thickness and surface density. Additionally, they choose multilayer PP/PE separator films to facilitate ionic transfer and avoid internal short circuits.
Electrode Fabrication and Assembly Process
Technicians start processing electrodes by cutting coated foils to specified sizes and they pay close attention to edge quality to prevent the formation of burrs. They then stack electrodes and separators alternately and they ensure that they are strictly aligned with automated fixtures. They then weld aluminum and copper tabs either by ultrasonic or resistance welding, and strengthen tab junctions with insulation layers. In the meantime, they cut the tab structure out of the pouch edge and maintain internal spacing integrity.
Formation, Testing, and Standard Compliance
Formation cycling is initiated by engineers to open electrochemical interfaces and stabilize SEI layers with controlled charge-discharge profiles. They then perform aging tests to test voltage behavior and impedance stability with time. Lastly, quality teams perform dimensional inspection, insulation resistance, weld strength and leakage. During the production process, they adhere to the IEC 62133 and UN38.3 standards and they make sure that every rechargeable LiPo battery 3.7V is manufactured with high consistency and transport safety.
